Baldies' Blog began originally in the UK by a 26 year old journalist with a blood cancer on a mission to inform the world about bone marrow donation.

He has since died, and I took on the cause of making cancer care more transparent for everybody.

Cancer is a disease that will touch everybody through diagnosis or affiliation: 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed and 1 in 3 woman will hear those words, "You Have Cancer."

I invite you to read how I feel along my journey and
how I am continuing to live a full life alongside my Hodgkin's lymphoma, with me controlling my cancer, not my cancer controlling me.

I hope that "Baldies' Blog" will prepare you to handle whatever life sends you, but especially if it's the message, "You Have Cancer."

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

When tomorrow starts without me and I’m not there to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today
While thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say
I know how much you love me as much as I love you
And each time that you think of me I know you’ll miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me please try to understand
Than an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand
And said my place was ready in heaven far above
And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love
But as I turned to walk away a tear fell from my eye
For all my life I’d always thought I didn’t want to die
I had so much to live for so much yet to do
It seemed almost impossible that I was leaving you
I thought of all the yesterdays the good ones and the bad
I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had
If I could relive yesterday just even for awhile
I’d say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile
But when I walked through heaven’s gates I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me from His great golden throne
He said “This is eternity and all I’ve promised you
Today your life on earth is past but here it starts anew
I promise no tomorrow but today will always last
And since each day’s the same day there’s no longing for the past”
So when tomorrow starts without me don’t think we’re far apart
For every time you think of me I’m right here in your heart.

Praying that God will give you all comfort and strength in the days to come and that you will cherish the good days with happy memories of Hillary. God Bless..

I never had the privileged to meet Hillary but she sound like an incredible woman! I only found out about this blog via a follow cartoonist T- McCracken from her newsletter. I was so moved by the cartoons I knew I had to say something... My thought, my love with you and yours.

Below is the Newsletter:

A friend of mine, Hillary Pierce, died from cancer on Monday, February 6, 2012. We never met, but some years ago she commissioned me to draw cartoons for her blog, http://www.baldiesblog.blogspot.com/. Here are a few of them.

I hope you get a laugh from my weekly 'toons, but if you don't and/or don't want to receive future emails, please let me know.

Mirthfully yours,
T- McCracken
