Baldies' Blog began originally in the UK by a 26 year old journalist with a blood cancer on a mission to inform the world about bone marrow donation.

He has since died, and I took on the cause of making cancer care more transparent for everybody.

Cancer is a disease that will touch everybody through diagnosis or affiliation: 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed and 1 in 3 woman will hear those words, "You Have Cancer."

I invite you to read how I feel along my journey and
how I am continuing to live a full life alongside my Hodgkin's lymphoma, with me controlling my cancer, not my cancer controlling me.

I hope that "Baldies' Blog" will prepare you to handle whatever life sends you, but especially if it's the message, "You Have Cancer."

making it

I made it through, and I did it with only three small incisions. The surgery was done thoroughfare (with a scope), and three serious samples were obtained! I knew Theater would pull me through in a big way. I do ache, but it's nothing like the pain of the abscess (not yet at least). I am hoping this ends the gasping for breath episodes. Those are probably the scariest moments I've experienced on earth. I hope I never again have to feel what it is like to breath and have no hair exchange or to stand gasp praying ut will stop. Those episodes were getting longer. Now they could be gone!! No more visions of wheelchairs dancing in my head. God bless.

Glad to hear it's over and it was successful in getting specimens. Thanks for the update.

Hugs!

Hello Hillary. My name is Jamie. I work at All Seasons Construction in Springfield, VT. I receive your father’s updates via email and, even though I personally don't know you, I am very moved by your outlook on life. My aunt was diagnosed with bone cancer not too long ago. At first, the diagnosis looked very, very bleak. We didn't know what was going to happen. Three months later, she's doing wonderful and staying strong. I'm going to share your website with her; I think it will bring her inspiration. You and your family will be in my prayers. God Bless and thanks for sharing your incredible blogs and inspiring attitude.
