Baldies' Blog began originally in the UK by a 26 year old journalist with a blood cancer on a mission to inform the world about bone marrow donation.

He has since died, and I took on the cause of making cancer care more transparent for everybody.

Cancer is a disease that will touch everybody through diagnosis or affiliation: 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed and 1 in 3 woman will hear those words, "You Have Cancer."

I invite you to read how I feel along my journey and
how I am continuing to live a full life alongside my Hodgkin's lymphoma, with me controlling my cancer, not my cancer controlling me.

I hope that "Baldies' Blog" will prepare you to handle whatever life sends you, but especially if it's the message, "You Have Cancer."

Smiling Still at 8:30!

After a very long day of more diagnostic testing, evaluating where my sites of cancerous dx are and how all my co-morbidities are affecting my healing I'm still smiling. My family is here: dad (since tues) now my mom, jon, and x. All safe, smiling and happy. College friends are caring for me! This is what I needed: a fresh pair of eyes from professionals who had no idea what I'd suffered through. All updates will be here now to conserve energy. Showing up with no piece of my 1000+ page chart made catching up difficult, but everything happens for a reason. I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. Those prayers, novenas, thoughts absolutely helped. It couldn't have come at a better time. Now, I have to publish the prayer. Anybody who knows St,judes novena, send it to my comments section.

Novena
There are many St. Jude prayers to be found and no one particular prayer is better than the rest but the following is generally accepted to be the Novena to St. Jude:

"Holy Saint Jude, Apostle and Martyr,
great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ,
faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need.
To you I have recourse from the depths of my heart
and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance.
Help me in my present and urgent petition,
in return I promise to make your name known and cause you to be invoked.
Saint Jude pray for us and all who invoke your aid.  Amen."

I will pray for all of you to have peace and clear thinking, including your caregivers. You have been through hell and back, so surely there is nothing they can put in front of you that you cannot conquer. Hilary The Conquerer is always how I think of you. Peace be unto all of you.

Hugs!

Novena To
St. Jude

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.
Intercede with God for me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly -
(make your request here)
- and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever. I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
Amen

PRAYER

May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, and loved in all the tabernacles until the end of time. Amen.

May the most Sacred Heart of Jesus be praised and glorified now and forever. Amen

St. Jude pray for us and hear our prayers. Amen.

Blessed be the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Blessed be the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Blessed be St. Jude Thaddeus, in all the world and for all Eternity.
(say this prayer, followed by the Our Father and the Hail Mary)

"St. Jude, you witnessed the healing power of our Lord Jesus. You saw his compassion for the sick and dying. You yourself touched the sick, shared the sorrows of the mournful, and encouraged the despairing. You received this authority and healing power to work wonders, to cure the incurable, to make people whole. We ask you to intercede with our brother, Jesus, to send his saving grace to heal the sickness and suffering of _________________________________, to uplift his/her despondent spirits, and to instill hope in his/her hearts. Amen."

"St. Jude, through prayer you praised God for the wonderful works of Jesus. You asked God for the strength to meet the challenges of your apostolate. You put your trust in God's mercy, believing firmly that God loved you and understood your joys and sorrows, your hopes and fears, and your triumphs and failures. You understood that nothing is impossible for God. I ask you to pray for me now before the Most High so that I too might be filled with God's saving power, understand God's will for me and faithfully place myself in God's loving hands."

"St. Jude, you remained faithful to our Lord, even unto death. You gave your life so that others might live. You endured physical pain and emotional abandonment. But you gladly joined your sufferings to those of our Savior, Jesus, and thus shared in the redemption of the world. I ask you now to intercede with our brother, Jesus Christ on my behalf, so that I too can find strength in the face of my suffering. Help me to trust in God and put my life in his hands."
Hang in there. We love you and are praying for you.
Love and God Bless,
Jeanne
